This fall, we invite students and faculty into a season of growth through prayer, shared meals, thoughtful conversation, and public lectures that connect Christian faith with the life of the mind.

Beginning on August 10th, the Rice Christian Study Center will host a simple weekday rhythm of prayer in the RMC Chapel during the Fall 2026 semester. Each Monday through Friday, we will gather in the Chapel for Morning Prayer at 8:15 a.m. and Vesper Prayer at 4:00 p.m., seeking the Lord together for our students, faculty, staff, and Rice community.
We are using the free “Venite” prayer app - an electronic version of the Episcopal Book of Common Prayer with the lectionary Bible readings added in. Come join us as you can.

The Table Lunch Lecture series is the RCSC’s weekly gathering for students, faculty, and local church partners who want to think Christianly about life at Rice. Over a shared meal, guests hear from speakers and join conversation that connects Scripture, scholarship, vocation, and the questions shaping student life. The format is simple but intentional: a table, a meal, and a space for thoughtful Christian reflection and meaningful conversation.
Churches and individuals can also support RCSC by sponsoring a Table Lunch Lecture through the Church Sponsorship Form. Sponsors may arrange delivery, bring food, or bring food and serve on site, helping provide a meal for about 50 people and creating a warm, welcoming environment for students, faculty, and guests. It is a practical way to invest in Christian formation on campus and help create a place where faith and learning meet.

Join students, faculty, local pastors, and community members for our Fall 2026 lectures at the Rice Christian Study Center. This season’s conversations invite us to think deeply about faith, learning, vocation, and the life of the mind. Together, we hope to create a space of welcome, wisdom, and wonder for the Rice community and beyond.
